Goya is the antagonist of Nightmare Rift and one of Master Lox's Dream State Minions. He was created by Master Lox (Evil Dr. Tinker) when he learned to master the power of a mysterious gem, fueled by nightmares. He has a typical 'bully' attitude, an aggressive voice, and often makes threats of violence. He tends to boast about his strength and once claimed he would like to eat Funkeys.
Description[]
Goya is the villain of Nightmare Rift. He is not as smart as Dali and comes half as much, though he is hard to avoid. He flies around Nightmare Rift and will swoop down and challenge you to a cup game where he can take your coins, but you may earn some coins by winning. If you collect two Dreamcatchers, Goya will break one of them, leaving the other in your hands. Focusing the energy in said Dreamcatcher will defeat Goya for good and revert him into a gem (the same fate as Dali)

- Goya's name is a reference to the artist Francisco Goya who is famous for creating a series of disturbing paintings which featured grotesque imagery and themes of war similar to the design of Nightmare Rift.
- It is shown that Goya's breath smells so bad one whiff will knock you out, allowing Goya to steal your coins.
- Goya is the only enemy with a unique warning sound.
